Dear Cold Springs Elementary School Families,

Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year! We are incredibly excited to welcome everyone back into the building. We are so proud of what we accomplished last year in one of the more unique years we have all experienced and we hope to build on that progress to make this new year an incredibly memorable one.

After the last year of operating in a combination of fully virtual, hybrid, and early dismissal settings, we are excited to return to five full days of in-person instruction in the building. Due to the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, we will continue to implement mitigation measures. This will include the requirement for all individuals to wear masks while indoors and on the buses, social distancing of at least 3 feet between students where practicable, keeping students in cohorts and the implementation of regular hand washing procedures. All visitors to our campus will also be required to wear masks. We will continue to adjust our mitigation measures as needed to ensure that our staff and students’ safety and well-being are prioritized.

One of our top initiatives last year was to build a positive and supportive learning environment and that continues to be at the forefront of our decision making process again this year. We look forward to furthering our conversations and continuing our work together as we explore avenues to improve our overall school climate and culture. We will expand our efforts to improve our means of addressing mental health, while also exploring innovative initiatives that promote best practices in teaching and learning. Our goal this year is to engage all of our stakeholders in the process of educating our students. “All are Welcome” will be this year’s theme and we want to make sure that all of our decisions bring these words to life.

We are excited about all that this new year has to offer and we look forward to working collectively as a family to ensure that our students are provided with the best educational experience possible.

We look forward to building relationships with all stakeholders throughout this year and encourage you to become active members in our school community. It is going to be an amazing year.
