Dear Students, Parents, and Friends of Cold Springs School:
It is certainly a pleasure to greet you via the Cold Springs Website!
We feel that this medium is one of several ways that we can keep you informed of the “happenings” at Cold Springs School. Also, through the attached e-mail, we can hear from you and certainly when there is open communication between the home and school, your children (our students) will greatly benefit.
We have a number of other resources available to maintain good communication, namely: daily Agenda Books, a monthly newsletter, The Cubs’ Tale, our parent handbook, voice mail, phone contacts, homework hotline, and best of all personal contacts at Back to School Nights, parent conferences and any time it is convenient for parents and staff to meet.
We will try our best to keep our information on this site practical, current and noteworthy. We ask you to let us know how we can improve this site to better serve your needs.
We are very proud of the fine students we serve and our outstanding staff members who work diligently to meet the needs of our students. We also feel that our beautiful building and grounds constitute one of the finest facilities for young learners grades PreK through Three.
Our academic program centers on the New Jersey Core Content Proficiencies addressed through our Journeys' Reading Program and My Math Program. Both are aligned with the Common Core standards and are geared to students' readiness and ability.
We hope through this site and our various other communications to share with you the wonderful things that happen here at Cold Springs on a daily basis.
Mrs Norell Gurcsik
Early Childhood Director
Welcome to the Cold Springs Early Childhood Center! Thank you for visiting our website. As a former Preschool and Kindergarten teacher, I have a passion for Early Childhood education and have been a part of the ECC for the past fourteen years. I am happy to have the opportunity to welcome you to our Preschool and Kindergarten Programs where we strive to help our youngest students become independent thinkers and lifelong learners.
We have a team of highly qualified professionals that are committed to providing a quality education program which promotes the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of every child. Our ECC staff provides a positive nurturing environment as well as developmentally appropriate instruction incorporating a range of skills necessary for whole-child development & early learning. We work hard to find the best methods to meet the needs of every child.
We believe a strong partnership with families makes for the most beneficial educational experience for all children. We encourage families to take advantage of a variety of parent involvement opportunities we have at the ECC.
I look forward to working closely with you for the benefit of our children. Should you have any questions or need additional information, feel free to contact us at any time. Also, utilize our website for important information throughout the year. Thank you for your continued support!
